Overview
TrueSilicon's AXI2AHB Bridge IP provides a seamless interface between high-performance AXI-based systems and AHB-based subsystems. The bridge enables AXI managers to access AHB-compliant subordinate devices by translating AXI transactions into AHB transactions while preserving protocol compliance and transaction integrity. The AXI2AHB Bridge efficiently handles the differences between the high performance, pipelined AXI protocol and the simpler AHB protocol. It converts AXI read and write transactions into corresponding AHB transfers, manages protocol timing and handshaking differences, supports burst conversion where applicable, and performs data-width adaptation when required. The IP supports configurable address mapping and access to multiple AHB subordinate devices, enabling flexible system integration in single clock SoC architectures. It is optimized for low latency, efficient resource utilization, and reliable transaction handling while maintaining compliance with both the AXI and AHB protocol specifications. The AXI2AHB Bridge IP is delivered in Verilog (RTL) with fully synthesizable code and comprehensive verification coverage, ensuring robust functionality and ease of integration into ASIC and SoC designs.
